A Furry Friend, a Sweet Book, and Lots of Love

Rev’d Maggie Rich of Sarn, Kerry and Newtown Baptist Churches contacted us for some book printing. She has been doing amazing work supporting older people in her community. The idea for Milo’s Diary came about when she was planning to adopt a cat from the RSPCA. A lady with a love of dogs and cats wanted to know all about him. Maggie decided to capture Milo’s adventures in a small book. This could bring joy and companionship to those she cares for.

Bluesdigital was delighted to be a part of this project. With just a few emails, Word documents, and photos from her phone, we got Milo’s Diary print-ready. As a result, the book printing process was smooth and efficient. It is ready to delight readers of all ages!

Even better, proceeds from the book will go to the Anna Chaplaincy. This supports the vital work they do in offering pastoral care to older people.

We feel so lucky to get to meet such lovely people and help bring their ideas to life!

If you would like to purchase a copy of Rev’d Maggies lovely book, give her a call on 01686 670 947.

A Little Letter, A Little Magic

Here at Bluesdigital, we love doing things a little differently. This September, we started a small, whimsical project: reaching out to local businesses with an old-fashioned letter, delivered right through the door.

What makes these letters extra special? The stamps! We adore the unique stamp collections from Royal Mail, and we’re sending each letter with a carefully chosen stamp. The very first batch, sent out on the 5th of September, featured the mythical creature stamps — and they looked absolutely magical. If you were lucky enough to receive one, we hope it brightened your day just a little.

We wish we could include these beautiful stamps on every letter we send, but for now, only a handful of businesses are chosen at random.

If your letter didn’t have the special stamp, don’t worry — there’s always next time! Or, if you’re feeling cheeky, pop in to see us and maybe we can make an excuse for a fancy stamp… perhaps on an invoice letter, 🐒

St Lonio’s Church – Memorial Inscriptions of the Past

Reprint Now Available!

We’re delighted to share that ‘Memorial Inscriptions of the Past‘, written and compiled by local historian Jeremy Pryce, is once again available as a reprint.

Originally published in 2020, this book captures the history and stories found within the memorials of St Lonio’s Church. It’s a fascinating read for anyone with an interest in local heritage or family history. It also appeals to those interested in simply preserving the voices of the past.

Jeremy has created a number of wonderful books over the years. This latest reprint is a welcome addition to his growing collection.

At Bluesdigital, we’re proud to have worked with Jeremy on bringing this project back to life. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Quick shout out to the fantastic volunteers & all the local companies that help to run Newtown Food Surplus, an amazing initiative focused on Feeding Bellies Not Bins. They could do with as much help as possible to continue helping so many people, so any time you can spare would be REALLY appreciated, or a few quid via DONATION would help to keep the lights (& Freezers) on. https://donorbox.org/newtown-food-surplus

Take a look at all the great work they do in & around the Newtown/Powys area.

This One’s a Bit Different…

Today’s been one of those days — where things just don’t go to plan. A handful of jobs, each with their own unexpected challenges. Even with all the experience, care, and effort I bring to work, it’s been a bit of a grind. It’s important to remember how days like these can impact our mental health.

At Bluesdigital, I take pride in delivering a high standard of service. That commitment doesn’t change — even when the day doesn’t go my way. And while it’s part of running a business, it can still be enormously frustrating.

I’m sharing this to acknowledge that these days happen. If today’s felt like a bit of a slog for you, this is a quiet nod to say: you’re not alone. Maybe reaching out about a hard day for me can bring about a little ease for you. Just talking about mental health can sometimes lighten the load.

Thank you to my customers today, you are all super appreciated!
