About Bluesdigital

Hey, I’m Darren — welcome to Bluesdigital.

This whole thing actually started as a little side gig. Nothing fancy… just me helping people out with their computers because I enjoyed it. Then in 2006, we got our first premises here in Newtown, and things slowly grew from there. Bit by bit, the shop became part of the community — and honestly, that’s the part I’ve always loved the most.

A while back, I introduced printing to the business, which was a proper full-circle moment for me. I used to work in the screen printing business for many years, so bringing professional printing back into my life scratched that detail-obsessed itch I’ve always had. From there, website design just sort of… happened. People kept asking for it, the demand grew naturally, and before I knew it, it became a core part of what we do.

Because we’re a small, family-run business, everything we do is personal. Whether you’re coming in for a laptop repair, some business cards, or a new website, you’re not just another customer in the queue — most days you’re someone I’ve chatted to before, or someone I’ll bump into again at the shop, the market, or grabbing a sandwich.

Our Community

Bluesdigital Community came about because I wanted a way to say thank you to everyone who’s supported our Newtown shop over the years. This town really is full of brilliant people, and this felt like a good space to celebrate that.

And then there’s Bluesdigital Workshop — my side project, my playground, my excuse to tinker. It’s where I get to dive into the creative stuff: custom PC cases, design ideas, odd little builds… all the fun bits that keep the passion alive.
