A Fresh Look for Bethshan Care Home in Newtown

A little while ago, we had a call from the lovely team at Bethshan Care Home in Newtown, who were looking for a well-deserved refresh for their website.

Their original site was looking a little tired, and they wanted a fresh, modern digital front door — something that would work well on mobile and, just as importantly, be easy for their own team to update and manage.

For this project, speed, simplicity and giving the client confidence to manage their own website were at the heart of everything we did.

From First Call to Working Website

A fast start: Within just a few hours of speaking with the team, we had a working sample website ready for the Trustees to review.

Working together: The Trustees gave us valuable feedback straight away, helping us refine the layout, tone and content so the finished site reflected the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the care home.

Built with WordPress: The new website was built keeping things straightforward and avoiding unnecessary complexity, heavy code or awkward widgets. The aim was a website that was easy to use, both for visitors and for the people looking after it.

A Website the Team Can Own

Creating a website that reflects what our client wants was only part of the job. We also wanted to make sure the team felt confident managing it themselves.

By keeping the back end intuitive and uncomplicated, we were able to make that process as straightforward as possible.

And just a few days after launch, the staff had already made their first updates and tweaks themselves — without needing us to step in.

Seeing the team confidently making their own updates was really rewarding for us.

A good website shouldn’t leave you feeling like you need a developer every time something needs changing. It should give you the tools and confidence to keep it up to date yourself.
